For the second consecutive month, West Suffolk College has secured the top spot on College EduRank. Once again, this was down to their phenomenal Instagram content, which gave the College a perfect score of 100/100. The College, using the correct hashtag so the content could be found, documented the success of students during GCSE and A Level Results Day, which sparked plenty of engagement on the social media platform.
But it was Cardiff Sixth Form College who made the biggest impact in the EduRank table last month, jumping an impressive 377 places to enter the top ten at number three. This was down to the Sixth Form’s improvement on Twitter, where they posted much more frequently in August, compared to just six posts in July. Cardiff Sixth Form College made sure to capitalise on A Level Results Day, celebrating the success of their students. These types of posts not only encourage engagement from students congratulating each other, but are also a great opportunity to showcase their College’s high standards to potential students. Their top performing post on Twitter generated 28 engagements.
Another big climber in August was Holy Cross College, who jumped 287 places to secure their spot in the top 100. The College unveiled an exciting new promotional video; which launched across all their social media platforms. This was perfect timing from the College, as students were not studying during summer and maybe had more time to assess their options. The video generated the most success over on Facebook, where the College enjoyed an impressive 87 shares. This could imply that potential students, and parents, were sharing the content to like-minded people, who were also looking for places to continue their studies.
