Harper Adams University’s success being crowned University of the Year in the What Uni Student Choice Awards resulted in an impressive climb up the April University EduRank too. Moving 115 places, from 129th to 14th, Harper Adams University’s big win encouraged greater social interactions across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
This increased engagement saw Harper Adams University take the second best score for the UK University sector’s Facebook activity, achieving 79/100 (up from 27/100 in March). This increased score was achieved by the University receiving 152 engagements-per-post, higher than the sector average of 104.7 and improving vastly upon their 28 engagements-per-post the month before.
Harper Adams University’s top performing Facebook, Twitter and Instagram posts all related to their win at the What Uni Student Choice Awards. This highlights how a social community comes together to celebrate an institution’s achievements and spread brand awareness.
At the top of the rank, Oxford University remain in first place, and have produced the top performing posts in the sector across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Their top Facebook post was about a new exhibition at Oxford University’s Museum of Art, their top tweet announced a revolutionary discovery in neuroscience, and their top Instagram post was a beautiful springtime scene of a blossom covered Oxford side street.
Seven new Irish Universities were added to the rankings this month; Dublin City University, Mary Immaculate College, National University of Ireland Galway, Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin, University of Limerick and University College Cork, the latter of whom jumped straight into the top ten in 8th place.
